University Mission We prepare highly qualified human capital for the sustainable development of the region by integrating education, science, and industry. Strategic Development Goal To transform the multidisciplinary university into an innovative and scientific hub widely recognized in the eastern region of Kazakhstan, exerting a key influence on society and holding a leading position in Kazakhstan’s higher education system. Key Objectives To increase the number of educational programs taking into account professional standards and regional occupational maps, interdisciplinary and innovative educational programs, joint educational programs, double-degree programs, micro-credentials, and micro-degree programs; To implement the concept of lifelong learning by expanding the spectrum of non-formal education programs; To ensure sustainable socio-economic development of the region through the integration of scientific activities, business, and education; To establish a scientific-strategic and international hub in eastern Kazakhstan; To establish an R&D center and innovative research laboratories, and to commercialize scientific developments and technologies; To increase the share of funding for scientific research from the university’s overall budget and reduce the teaching workload for academic staff who have obtained the qualification of “researcher”; To develop and implement talent management in human resource policy and disseminate the best international and Kazakhstani anti-corruption practices; To develop the university’s digital ecosystem and modern IT infrastructure across all university business processes; To implement the university’s third mission by creating a social ecosystem and fostering social responsibility, patriotism, and leadership qualities among youth.
