Astana IT University
Astana IT University was established in 2019 in accordance with the instruction of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan in order to implement the State Program "Digital Kazakhstan". At the moment, more than 7,000 students study at the university in 19 educational programs. Currently, the University has corporate and collegial management bodies. The university's development strategy "Education and Innovations for Digital Transformation" is aimed at creating a modern digital educational environment that puts Astana IT University in the role of a catalyst for the digital transformation of society. The mission of the University is to train highly qualified personnel and commercialize research in the field of information and communication technologies for the development of Kazakhstan. The main objectives of the strategy are to create a system of innovations for the commercialization of intellectual products; to increase competitiveness in the global market of educational and research services; to ensure the availability of high-quality higher education using modern technologies; to create specialized network resources for high-quality educational content. These measures will create a modern digital educational ecosystem. An important part of the strategy is the integration of scientific research into the educational process and support for startups and small innovative enterprises. The University is actively working to create an innovative scientific infrastructure and develop international cooperation, which contributes to increasing the scientific potential of the teaching and administrative staff. The university has 5 modern educational and scientific laboratories, 20 innovative computer laboratories, 10 classrooms for startups, a scientific library, a media center with television and radio broadcasting studios. IT vendors such as EDB, Huawei, Cisco, Kaspersky, etc. conduct training and certifications for their products, which qualitatively improves educational programs. Astana IT University is a leading center for innovative continuous IT education and science with strong academic traditions and high social responsibility.
